Applications are invited for the appointment of a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant in Paediatrics at Frimley Health Foundation NHS Trust (at the Frimley Park Hospital site).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of 15 dedicated Acute Paediatric Consultants.
Main duties of the job
This post is part of a team of 15 Consultants, supported by 14 middle grades and 16 junior doctors.
The responsibilities will include a combination of attending weeks on the general paediatric ward and Paediatric Assessment Unit and Neonatal Unit, with on call 1 in 12 for General Paediatrics and Neonates.
Each week we have two consultants attending, one for Paediatrics, and one for Neonates.
When attending for Paediatrics, the post holder will be responsible for the Paediatric
Ward and HDU. When attending for Neonates, the post holder will be responsible for the babies on the Neonatal unit, Delivery suite, postnatal wards and transitional care.

1. MRCPCH or equivalent
2. Full GMC registration/on specialist register of GMC
3. NLS or APLS
4. Accreditation in HST in 5 years of Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCST.
Desirable
5. NLS / APLS Instructor status
6. 6 months tertiary neonatology or equivalent experience.
