Our client, a prominent organisation within the marine sector, is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer (Marine) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job description
This position is predominantly field-based, requiring regular travel and extended periods away from home, including weekends. The role involves supporting customers across the UK and Ireland, with the goal of providing exceptional service and technical support for marine products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support for marine products as part of the Global Marine Field Service team.
2. Conduct diagnostics and repairs at customer or third-party premises.
3. Perform major unit overhauls on-site.
4. Travel and work internationally as part of the team.
5. Assist the Marine sales team with technical aspects.
6. Ensure all tooling and equipment are within calibration dates.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and their representatives.
8. Seek and report on future business opportunities.
9. Consult on Health & Safety matters as required.
10. Maintain paperwork and timely submission of reports.
11. Represent our client positively and professionally at all times.
12. Work unsociable hours where required to meet customer needs.
Job Requirements:
13. Experience in field service engineering.
14. Background in marine engineering, such as Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, Ship's crew, or Drydocks.
15. Electrical and mechanical experience.
16. HV experience, including electrical motors and inverters.
17. Knowledge of electronic control systems.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
19. Valid driving licence.
20. Excellent communication skills on a technical level with both internal and external customers.
Benefits:
21. Permanent contract with a 41-hour working week.
22. Salary £50,000-£75,000 (dependant on experience)
23. Annual bonus (pro-rata in the first year).
