Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000pa

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to support the Head of Compliance & MLRO in maintaining and developing our regulatory compliance framework. This is a hands-on role with team leadership responsibility, providing second-line oversight across compliance operations while driving continuous improvement and building team capability.
You will play a key role in ensuring adherence to UKGC licence conditions, overseeing safer gambling and AML control and providing high-quality compliance insight to the wider business..
What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day compliance with UKGC LCCP, AML/CFT regulations and internal policies, including safer gambling controls, customer interactions, vulnerability assessments and AML monitoring. The role involves reviewing and updating policies in line with regulatory change and acting as the key liaison with Playbook Engineering on platform compliance requirements and incident escalations.
You’ll take ownership of internal compliance audits, QA reviews and the investigation of compliance incidents, producing clear remediation plans. This includes maintaining incident tracking, supporting regulatory reporting and UKGC submissions, and identifying emerging risks with appropriate mitigation.
You’ll play a key role in leading and developing the compliance team through day-to-day supervision, regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews, training delivery and the development of SOPs, while also supporting recruitment, onboarding and effective workload management.
The position also focuses on producing compliance MI and Power BI dashboards, analysing trends and risks and delivering regular reporting to senior management. Working closely with IT and platform teams, you’ll support data integration and the implementation of a case management system.
Working collaboratively across the business, you’ll provide clear compliance guidance to Customer Service, Payments, Marketing, IT, and platform teams and represent the Compliance function in cross-functional projects and meetings.
What We're Looking For:
Essential
* 5+ years’ iGaming compliance experience with direct UKGC licence exposure
* Strong working knowledge of UKGC LCCP, particularly safer gambling and AML
* Hands-on experience implementing and monitoring safer gambling controls
* Solid understanding of AML/CFT requirements, including MLR 2017
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
* Experience conducting compliance audits and QA reviews
Technical Skills
* Strong Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, lookups)
* Power BI experience (dashboards, data modelling, DAX)
* Experience with compliance or case management systems
* Strong analytical and reporting skills
* Confident using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

* Confident people leader with strong stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently
Desirable
* ICA qualification (or working towards)
* Experience with Playbook Engineering or similar B2B platforms
* Knowledge of additional jurisdictions (e.g. Malta, Gibraltar)
* Experience with tools such as Monday or ClickUp
* Previous involvement in UKGC compliance assessments
