Working for this Cheshire based Engineering company as the Office Manager, you will be the main contact and go to person for the business for advice, support, and a seamless administration service. You will act as the lead for Compliance and will be the Data Protection officer (DPO). You will report to the HRBP and provide HR cover in their absence. No two days will be the same, one minute you may be replenishing the stationery cupboard and the next uploading high value documentation onto secured MOD portals, whilst arranging multiple meetings for individuals with complex diary requirements. Role will be office based Salary £35k benefits DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and support a seamless transition for people and equipment moving to our new site. Organisations Data protection officer (DPO). Compliance officer i.e facility management compliance ensuring safety checks and licences/insurances are up to date. Creates and collates reports and presentations for meetings and bids. Supporting documentation control. Supports the HR function. Works with the US marketing team to develop and maintain the website and other social media outlets. Manages office supplies, equipment, and inventory. Ensures office technology is up to date and functioning smoothly. Supporting all team members with administrative requirements. First point of contact for visitors and dealing with incoming mail, telephone calls and client enquiries. Ensures that we are on the best value contracts for utilities usage and the finance team are made aware of business grants that can be claimed. Travel arrangements for team members. Demonstrates strong administration qualities, professionalism and creates a work environment that fosters teamwork with all departments and employees. Any other tasks as required to fulfil business needs. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Essential Excellent and proven report writing and presentation skills. Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, able to work independently as well as supporting the wider team. Experienced in administrative / office management functions. Proficient in office suite IT skills. Can do attitude. Strong time management skills. Excellent multi-tasking ability.
