This role will enable you to learn the process and give you the skills to pursue your career in change. The Change & Release Analyst supports the management of Southern Water’s IT Change Process. You will ensure that the integration with the other IT Service Management processes such as Incident, Problem, Asset and Configuration Management is as efficient as possible. You will also assist with the co-ordination, planning and control of change from demand through to implementation in live environments. You will be the final check checking and validation of all technology changes to our Production IT estate at Southern Water. Through meticulous analysis of each change record you will significantly reduce adverse impact to our systems and also help ensure the successfully introduction of new changes such as projects, BAU improvements or fixes. Responsibilities will include: Managing the workflow and processing of all requests for change (RFC), assessing for risk, quality and conflicts. Challenging or rejecting requests that fail to meet the required standards. Providing support and guidance to change requestors to help them navigate the change process effectively. Ensuring individual Change Requests are progressed through their lifecycle to closure and that all relevant updates are accurately captured prior to closure. Preparing and conducting Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings Conducting and producing post implementation reports for any failed or change violations. Identification and proposal of improvements to the change control process. Report creation for Change Management Ensuring compliance with Change Management process, policy and standards Performing periodic process audits as directed by the Change Manager Assisting in the production of management information and communication of the benefits of change and release management to drive ownership of changes and improve understanding of associated processes Skills and Experience needed: ITIL Foundation v.3 or willing to work towards achieving accreditation Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM systems Prior experience working as a Change Analyst High attention to detail and process orientated Able to deal with challenging situations and conflicting priorities Pragmatic, thorough and diligent Experience conducting and facilitating meetings Confident to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Package: This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week. Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working 2 days in our Durrington office.
