We are looking for an experienced bridal seamstress to work across our bridal and prom stores, DE24 8HR & NG10 5AP, You will need a drivers licence and your own vehicle. We are also open to a trainee seamstress providing some form of college or university course that entailed using a sewing machine has already been completed (Textiles A level or Costume design at university etc)
we are looking for part time hours and shifts could range between the hours of 9.30am-8pm but we do have several shift pattern options to be discussed at interview stage. Once agreed it would then be a set shift pattern. 3 Weekend shifts are required to be worked per month. We do open Saturdays & Sundays so are open to discussing which pattern these 3 shifts would fall on.
Your responsibilities will be
* Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications
* Operate sewing machines and other tools to complete garment construction
* Follow and create patterns, instructions, and design specifications to create high-quality garments
* Perform alterations and repairs on garments as needed
* Carry out bridal fittings and prom fittings
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
* Carry out initial bridal and prom appointments to help meet sales targets
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a seamstress or similar role
* Proficient in using sewing machines and other tools of the trade
* Strong knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
* Attention to detail and precision in garment construction
* Ability to read and interpret patterns and design specifications
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
* Time management skills to meet production deadlines
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members
* Sales experience
