HGV Class 2 Driver (Builder’s Merchant – Dagenham) Location: Dagenham (via Driver Hire Romford) Pay Rate: £17.00- £18.50 per hour (depending on experience and performance) Type: Ongoing position About the Role Driver Hire Romford are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver on behalf of a reputable Builder’s Merchant based near Dagenham area. You will be joining a well-established, leading independent UK distributor, acting as the face of the business and delivering a professional, customer-focused service. The role involves the safe transportation, delivery, and offloading of goods using the client’s vehicle-mounted cranes, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Job Specification Safely transport goods and materials to customer sites Carry out multi-drop deliveries, including deliveries into London Load, unload, and secure goods safely. Collect products from suppliers and prepare customer orders prior to dispatch Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams Plan routes effectively using local area knowledge Maintain high health & safety standards at all times Ensure vehicles and lifting equipment are used correctly and reported if defective What You Need A current and valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) Driving Licence.
