About the Role
We are seeking a talented Conservation Architect to join our established practice in the heart of historic Winchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about heritage to contribute to the care and future of significant historic buildings and sites, whether you are already accredited or working towards professional conservation accreditation.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Directors on major schemes.
* Take responsibility for running your own projects from inception to completion.
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Support the wider team on other projects as required, including non-conservation work.
What We’re Looking For
The most important prerequisite is a genuine enthusiasm and proven experience working with historic buildings—particularly listed buildings and scheduled monuments.
* Qualifications: RIBA Part III preferred (experienced Part II candidates with strong conservation knowledge will also be considered).
* Skills: Strong design, creativity, and technical abilities, including historic building repair.
* Knowledge: Good understanding of all RIBA Plan of Work stages.
* Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (SketchUp and Photoshop desirable).
* Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, organised, team-oriented, confident in taking responsibility, able to meet deadlines, and flexible.
* Practical: Full clean driving licence and own transport.
