An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work part-time as a Senior Nursing Assistant with the Ambulatory Assessment Unit, Lionel Cosin Day Hospital and DDC.
These clinics are often very busy and your role will be to provide vital assistance to the nurses in treating and caring for these patients, you’ll also be involved in looking after the general well-being and comfort of patients during their time in the AAU Unit and/or DDC clinic.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, with a caring approach, and be a committed team player aiming to establish a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors and staff. Prior knowledge of Immunology is not required as training will be provided. Part of the role will require receptionist/administration duties so computer and electronic patient record (EPR) skills would be an advantage but not essential.
The overall aims of this role are to provide a high quality service to patients and to support the smooth running of clinics.

Main duties of the job
Job Summary: As a member of the team, you will have both nursing and administrative duties within the role including:
1. Contribute to providing a high standard of patient care to the patients receiving treatment.
2. Contribute to providing a high standard of patient care to those patients coming for routine inpatient and outpatient appointments.
3. Contributing to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the AAU, Day Hospital and DDC
4. Assist in the maintenance and development of the services provided for the AAU, Day Hospital and DDC
5. Maintain the dignity and privacy of all patients and respect their right to confidentiality.
6. Maintain accurate and legible records of patient care and assessment, in accordance with Trust policy.
7. Provide non-clinical aspects of patient care.
