Cooper Lomaz are working with a highly specialised, globally respected engineering consultancy based in Suffolk, who are looking to appoint an Engineering Analyst with strong numerical modelling expertise.
This is an opportunity to join a small but exceptionally talented team delivering complex, high-impact projects across the world. You will work on technically challenging assignments using advanced modelling software to support risk mitigation and engineering design solutions at the highest level.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering advanced numerical modelling solutions across a diverse range of projects, applying finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics techniques to real-world engineering challenges.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or similar Engineering discipline
* Strong experience using Finite Element (FE) methods (explicit and/or implicit solvers)
* CFD knowledge and practical application
* Experience with non-linear transient dynamic analysis
* Experience handling non-linear material response
* UK national or permanent UK resident for the last five years
Desirable Experience
* Background within the construction industry
* Exposure to blast, impact or high strain-rate effects
* Postgraduate industry experience or PhD involving FE methods
* Ability to operate independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Technical Exposure (Preference Given)
* ANSYS Mechanical – Autodyn / LS-DYNA
* ANSYS Implicit Solver (Static & Transient Dynamics)
* Blastfoam / Viper::Blast / Air3D
* CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor or SolidWorks
