Overview
Senior CCS Engineer (Control, Command & Signalling) – London (commutable from Croydon, Watford, Luton, Reading). Hybrid - 3 days per week in office. Salary: £75,000 - £83,000 DOE + upto 12% Employer Contribution, 33 days holiday + Progression. Full time / Permanent.
The Role
* Lead CCS engineering activities with a focus on Traffic Management and control systems
* Translate operational and control room needs into technical requirements and system behaviour
* Provide technical assurance of design, verification and testing deliverables
* Manage technical risk and interfaces with wider rail systems and external stakeholders
* Communicate complex CCS concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
The Person
* Experience in Control, Command and Signalling or Traffic Management systems within rail or a similar safety critical environment
* Strong understanding of system development, integration and assurance of control or signalling systems
* Knowledge of safety processes including the Common Safety Method for risk evaluation and assessment
* Chartered Engineer or working towards, or equivalent professional experience
* Confident communicator with the ability to balance technical rigour with operational needs
