CORE PURPOSE We require an enterprising, data-driven Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Operating within a modern, employment-focused Studio School environment, the successful candidate will bridge the gap between abstract mathematical theory and real-world application, embedding financial literacy, data analytics, and engineering math to prepare all pupils thoroughly for terminal GCSE Mathematics examinations and future technical careers. THE SCHOOL Our Studio School operates as a specialized academy for 14–19 year olds, explicitly structuring its curriculum around practical, work-based learning. The campus mirrors a professional business or tech hub rather than a traditional secondary school. Pupils follow an extended working day, wear professional business attire, and manage their own independent project blocks, establishing a mature, self-regulated atmosphere focused entirely on academic application. KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS Applied Mathematical Instruction: Plan and deliver rigorous maths lessons, linking algebra, geometry, and statistics directly to contemporary industries, computing, and financial sectors. Project-Based Learning Integration: Collaborate closely with regional technical partners and businesses to design live, workplace-simulated projects that require robust budgeting, statistical analysis, and geometric modeling. Rigorous Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal Foundation and Higher tier GCSE Mathematics papers, utilizing targeted retrieval practices to secure high-grade attainment. Data-Led Progress Tracking: Implement high-impact formative assessment routines, meticulously analyzing mock scripts to eliminate misconceptions and deploy immediate, structured interventions. Work-Readiness Pastoral Tutoring: Act as a specialist professional mentor to a cohort of pupils, guiding them through industry placements, career pathways, and the development of professional communication skills. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognized equivalent teaching credential, paired with a strong honors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline. Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics in terminal public GCSE examinations through structured, context-first mathematics pedagogy. Commercial Literacy: An understanding of contemporary technical and financial sectors, with the ability to instruct pupils in modern data handling and spreadsheet applications alongside pure mathematical theory.
