Entry Requirements
You should be a university student working towards a minimum 2:2 degree in urban planning, geography, or another relevant built‑environment discipline. You must have completed at least two years of university by summer 2026 to qualify for this sandwich‑year role. You must also have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme; TfL will not sponsor under the Skilled Worker visa scheme.

What will I be doing?
You will work at the cutting edge of the relationship between development and transport. You will contribute to exciting and innovative proposals that can be of national significance, gaining a deep understanding of the planning process. Opportunities to become a Spatial Planning Assistant will arise in teams such as Development Management, London Plan & Planning Obligations, and Growth and Master Planning.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to TfL’s ethos; you will support and implement sustainable development through the Mayor’s Good Growth agenda on projects.
