My client is a leading Commercial Finance lender with a long-standing, established presence in the UK. With great backing and appetite to lend, they work with SMEs across all sectors to deliver fast, flexible and tailored funding solutions. Due to their continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity to join their Bridging Finance team as an experienced Portfolio Manager.
You’ll manage a portfolio of complex bridging loans, with a strong emphasis on project‑led cases, including refurbishment, development‑exit and more intricate, multi‑stage bridging facilities. A key part of the role is overseeing and approving drawdowns, monitoring progress against agreed milestones, and ensuring each loan remains tightly controlled throughout its term. You’ll act as the central point of oversight from initial drawdown through to redemption, keeping cases on track, identifying risks early, and protecting the lender’s position at every stage. It’s a hands‑on, commercially focused role that blends financial analysis, project monitoring, valuation challenge, and close relationship management with borrowers, brokers, QS partners and internal credit teams.
Experience Required:
* 3+ years' experience within portfolio management in bridging finance or development finance
* Experience with dealing with complex multi-stage bridging facilities, such as development exit or refurb loans
* Commercially sharp with strong risk awareness.
* Confident communicator, highly organised, methodical and proactive.
* Calm under pressure with the ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
What We Offer:
* Join an established lender with a proven track record and low staff turnover.
* A steady, supportive culture that values balance, professionalism and long‑term wellbeing and long-term career growth.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
