Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate Musical Theatre Teacher / Supervisor to run an after-school Musical Theatre Club at a primary school in Derby. This role offers the chance to help children explore singing, acting, and movement while boosting their confidence, creativity, and love of performing.
The club runs once a week for 1 hour (day and time to be confirmed).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and engage a small group of primary-aged children in fun and interactive musical theatre sessions.
* Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that combine singing, acting, and movement.
* Encourage children to express themselves, build confidence, and enjoy performing.
* Communicate effectively with parents and school staff about children's progress.
* Ensure the session space and equipment are safe, organised, and ready for use.
Experience & Skills
* Experience teaching musical theatre, drama, or performing arts to children in schools or clubs.
* Ability to motivate and inspire children in a structured yet enjoyable way.
* Strong English communication skills for working with children, parents, and staff.
* A background in performing arts, drama, or teaching is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
