On-Train Ticket Examiner - A Rewarding Career in Rail Travel
Location: Bathgate (Must be within a 45-minute travel distance)
Salary: £33,066 per annum PRO RATA+ 3% commission
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week or Part-time 17.5 hours per week. Various shifts and weekend working.
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Checking and issuing tickets, handling cash and card payments.
* Managing crowded conditions, assisting passengers, and resolving travel concerns.
* Supporting passengers with disabilities to board and alight trains, including using a portable ramp (weighing up to 15kg) when required.
* Keeping calm, organized and adaptable to ensure a smooth and positive journey for everyone.

* Warm, engaging approach with a love of connecting with others.
* Excellent communication skills – building trust and rapport with passengers.
* Ability to thrive in a supportive team culture while working independently.
* Ability to manage ramps (training provided).
