SALARY:
£26,000 per annum
Caridon Property has doubled its turnover and portfolio size in the last four years. Due to this rapid increase in size, the finance team is now growing to improve the company's reporting ability to aide with future growth.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified person with some bookkeeping and accounts maintenance experience to take responsibility for the full reporting function and develop the role over time to become a Finance Manager or a Financial Controller. We are committed to helping the successful candidate develop their skills and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks including but not limited to bookkeeping, postings etc.
* Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
* Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, payables, receivables and purchase orders where needed.
* Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
* Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
* Verify payments and deposits made through the company account.
* Monthly reconciliation of Balance Seet accounts
* Month end journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, etc

Qualifications
* BSc in Accounting and Finance /AAT required.
* Minimum three year experience as Accounts Assistant.
* Experience in accounting for social housing and property management is essential
* Experience in Xero essential
* Intermediate level Excel ability
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure
* Willingness to learn and develop

* To carry out specific tasks required by your Group Financial Controller in general administration.
* To facilitate good relationships across all departments and sister companies.
* To demonstrate and actively encourage a good team spirit and support for the Company at all times.
* To be approachable and empathetic to the sales, finance and maintenance teams.
