The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection. We constantly strive for excellence, and as part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have an Assistant Principal vacancy to join our team of professional and dedicated people. The college is a very happy and positive working environment. The right candidate will have: The ability to assist the Executive Principal by providing professional leadership and management and to deputise for the Executive Principal in their absence. Knowledge and understanding of students with PMLD, SLD and ASC. Experience in the development of teaching and learning to realise the potential for all students and establish a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations. Be responsible for ensuring that there is a stimulating and attractive learning environment and resources to deliver the curriculum across college. Knowledge to analyse and produce performance data, including student achievement and outcomes and provide the Executive Principal and the Board of Trustees with relevant information relating to performance and development.
