Overview
Tommy is looking for a part-time support worker to join his team.
Contract Hours: 15h
Responsibilities
* Provide non-judgemental, patient support to Tommy, offering help when he needs it and being comfortable with periods of silence.
* Be resilient and able to work with someone who may engage in risky behaviours related to substance misuse, without taking things personally.
* Develop a supportive, respectful relationship with Tommy, recognizing his interests (e.g., music, films) and his potential, and helping him to achieve positive outcomes.
* Collaborate with the team to support Tommy in his goals and wellbeing.
Ideal candidate
* Experience of working with people who have a history of substance misuse; some knowledge of Autism would be beneficial.
