 * Researching recent real‑life case studies of cybersecurity events
 * Carrying out a real‑life cybersecurity audit and expressing this in diagrammatic format, + "Given that a good cyber security plan should protect against all vulnerabilities, why is the motivation of hackers not irrelevant?" Discuss this point in less than 250 words (without using AI to help you).
 * Use AI to give you suggestions to improve the content of your answer. State 3 improvements you would make as a result.
 * In brief, what is the most interesting cyber security attack of 2025 and why?
 * Outline, in less than half a page, how you would approach creating a cyber security audit for a small organisation.

Qualifications
 * Good knowledge and understanding of the cybersecurity areas you have covered on your degree course so far.
 * Ability to adapt and improve your method of working through feedback loops.
 * Ability to communicate effectively, concisely — to write with flair and enthusiasm for your subject!
 * Real interest in the area of cybersecurity.
 * Available for work in our Westbury‑on‑Trym office one day (or one and a half days a week), Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, 9am‑5pm, until the 148 hours have been completed.
 * Strong interest in the subject area (including up‑to‑date knowledge of any recent developments), backed up with an strong academic record.
 * Strong research and analysis skills; attention to detail.
 * Ability to work independently and efficiently, and to communicate ideas and knowledge with clarity.
Minimum Qualification Level Required
 * Cybersecurity related degree (predicted 2:1 or higher).
 * Minimum A Level grade B (or BTEC distinction) in computing or maths.

ZigZag Education is a Bristol‑based educational publisher. We are based in a single location split over six rooms. There are approximately 25 members of staff. We are a highly focused business which creates resources such as worksheets, practice exam papers, teaching notes, digital interactive web teaching resources, etc. for secondary schools and FE colleges.
As a relatively small team we offer an informal, friendly and flexible working environment. Based in Greenway Business Centre, we have free parking and our offices back onto playing fields, providing a quiet and green setting. We work with hundreds of teachers and freelance authors and expert checkers who are based around the UK and abroad.
