About the role
As a CDC (CyberDefence Centre) Specialist at Drax, your responsibilities will include monitoring and responding to security incidents, conducting investigations, supporting daily BAU activities, and implementing proactive risk mitigation measures. You will also ensure that CDC documentation is maintained and up-to-date.
You will lead and mentor CDC team members and stand in for the CDC Detect & Response Manager when needed. Collaboration with the Product & Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Operational Technology Cyber Teams is essential to ensure synergy and build relationships across Drax for a holistic security approach.
Who we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a cybersecurity role managing multiple activities efficiently. Experience with Azure, Microsoft Security Centre, Microsoft Compliance Centre, AWS, digital forensic techniques, IPS/IDS technologies, and firewalls is required.
Additional knowledge of network security, industrial network protocols, and Industrial Control Systems is preferred. Entry-level certifications such as SEC+, Net+, SANS/GIAC are highly beneficial.
Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, NIS Regulations, CAF, IEC, SoGP, MITRE ATT&CK, and Cyber Kill Chain is important. You should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and effective in liaising with professional staff and stakeholders across the business.
