4. Salary: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per annum (DOE)

Support a Culture of Safety, Quality, and Compliance in Heavy Industry
A well-established UK manufacturing business is seeking a proactive and highly organised SHEQ Coordinator to help drive safety, health, environmental and quality standards at its Bilston facility. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role supporting the wider SHEQ team in maintaining compliance, improving systems, and fostering a positive safety culture in a fast-paced heavy industrial environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working under the SHEQ Manager or operational leadership, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and administration of SHEQ processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
6. Support compliance with PUWER, COSHH, and relevant safety legislation
7. Assist in carrying out risk assessments and incident investigations
8. Promote safe working practices and lead toolbox talks where required
9. Help maintain SHEQ registers and ensure accurate reporting
Environmental & Quality Support
10. Support ISO14001 and ISO9001 aligned systems and reporting
11. Contribute to internal audit preparation and execution
12. Help maintain the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
13. Monitor actions and improvements stemming from audits and inspections
Coordination & Admin
14. Keep training records, audits, inspections, and SHEQ documentation up to date
15. Prepare reports for management meetings and regulatory bodies
16. Communicate SHEQ updates across departments and maintain dashboards
17. Coordinate contractor safety compliance and permit-to-work processes
Who We’re Looking For
18. NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
19. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry, machining, or fabrication environment
20. Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards
21. Highly organised with excellent administrative and time management skills
22. Confident communicator, capable of liaising with shop floor teams and senior management
23. Experienced in supporting and understanding audits, risk assessments, and compliance processes
24. Able to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail
