You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
We are currently looking for a Utilities Site Engineer who will:
As the Utilities Site Engineer, you will:
1. Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently
2. Working with the subcontractor to ensure the timely preparation Risk Assessment Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Permits, Consents etc for the works and that these are implemented
3. Liaison with the Construction Manager to ensure the adherence to safe methods of work
4. Ensuring all temporary works needs are identified sufficiently early and completed in accordance with the relevant procedures
5. Ensuring all quality checks are carried out in accordance with the ITP’s and properly recorded
6. Work collaboratively with the HS2 team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals
7. Managing the supply chain to ensure that they deliver in an efficient way and in accordance with the Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements
We are looking for:
8. Degree or equivalent in Civil / Environmental engineering or similar
9. Prior experience in Civil engineering / Infrastructure projects
10. Relevant CSCS Card
11. Track record of developing a proactive and collaborative relationship with the Customer teams
12. Ability to establish and lead a safety first culture with a track record of delivering projects safely
