This is a great opportunity to join a global company, which design and manufacture niche products from its site in Bristol, for customers across the globe. You will be joining the Purchasing department and enjoy a varied role, managing supplier relationships and import processes, amongst other things.
The role:
Manage the relationships with suppliers and sub contractors.
Develop and maintain purchasing procedures.
Processing purchase orders.
Negotiating with suppliers to achieve favourable pricing.
Track deliveries and stock levels.
Manage the import of overseas products.
Contributing to CI initiatives, for example risk assessments, supplier approvals and contract implementation.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience within a Purchasing dept - ideally in manufacturing.
CIPS qualified - desirable.
Skilled with MRP systems, for example Epicor.
Excellent negotiating skills.
Familiarity with stock control principles.
