Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? We are looking for a Database Engineer to join our team based in Benson. Reporting into the Finance Director you will take ownership of our data warehouse and help drive data informed decision-making across Grundon. In this pivotal role, you’ll manage and optimise our Jet Analytics Data Warehouse, ensuring it performs reliably and scales with business needs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics. What you’ll be doing: Own and evolve the Jet Analytics Data Warehouse, ensuring best practices and high performance. Design scalable architecture that consolidates data from internal and external sources (including via APIs and Connectors). Ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and security across the platform. Optimise data loading processes and query performance for efficient reporting. Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and integrate new data sources. Document data models, flows, and structures to support development and troubleshooting. Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of data-related initiatives. Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety and employment. Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder. What You’ll need: Minimum 2 years’ experience in BI, report development, or data analysi Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing best practices. Experience working with Azure Fabric. Skilled in data modelling and transforming raw data into actionable formats. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on performance optimisation of queries and data pipelines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
