Job Advertisement: Level 3 Teaching Assistant in PRU Setting Location: Knowsley, UK Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Level 3) - PRU Setting Salary: £12-£15 per hour Duration: Long Term Start date: September 2024 Are you a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Axcis are seeking a motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Knowsley on a full-time, long-term basis. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in our PRU setting, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students who have been referred from mainstream schools. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting Learning: Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students. • Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. • Collaborative Working: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans. • Pastoral Care: Offer emotional and social support to students, promoting their well-being and personal development. About You: To be successful in this role, you should have: • Qualification: A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent). • Experience: Previous experience working in a PRU or similar setting is highly desirable. • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. • Resilience: The ability to remain patient, calm, and resilient in challenging situations. • Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
