Maintenance Engineer
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our proactive maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and site services. You will be responsible for addressing equipment failures, carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks, and collaborating with management to maintain optimal production levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
* Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment and systems.
* Work closely with management to support production goals.
* Follow health and safety procedures, completing necessary documentation.
Working Hours:
* Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rotational shift (no nights), 40 hours per week.
* Shift 1: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 16:00. If the shift falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it will be a 10-hour shift starting at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00.
* Shift 2: Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 22:00. If the shift falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it will be a 10-hour shift starting at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00.
Shift Rotation Example:
* Week 1: Work Monday - Thursday, Off Friday - Monday
* Week 2: Work Tuesday - Friday, Off Saturday - Tuesday
* Week 3: Work Wednesday - Saturday, Off Sunday - Wednesday
* Week 4: Work Thursday - Sunday, Off Monday - Thursday
Candidate Requirements:
* Time-served Electrician with a City & Guilds Qualification.
* 18th Edition certification preferred but not essential.
* Hydraulic and pneumatic experience beneficial but not mandatory.
* Proficient with IT-based systems and familiar with office software.
* Ability to draft correspondence and manage emails effectively.
* Flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork.
