Our client is launching a brand-new, 2-bed high-intensity therapeutic childrens home inNorth Shropshire and is looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker to help lead the service from the very beginning.

About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
You will help lead and develop the staff team, ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care that supports their emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will contribute to care planning, safeguarding, staff development, and the overall success of the home.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home
* Lead, supervise, and develop staff to deliver high-quality care and support
* Promote a therapeutic, child-centred environment
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
* Assist with rota planning, staffing, and resource management
* Support the development and implementation of care plans and behaviour strategies
* Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
* Step up to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
What Were Looking For
* Minimum 2 years experience in a childrens residential setting
* Experience at Senior or Deputy Manager level
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
* Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
* Experience managing rotas, staffing, and budgets
* A strong, resilient, and child-focused leadership style
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Additional Information
* Sleep-in requirement of approximately 48 per month
* All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references
