Our client, a well-established and growing engineering company based in Dudley, is looking to expand their dynamic team with the addition of a 2D CAD Engineer/Estimator. The Role: As a 2D CAD Engineer/Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include: Producing accurate 2D profile drawings using AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings Assisting with estimates and quotations based on customer requirements Supporting production planning and ensuring drawings are manufacturing-ready Communicating effectively with internal departments and clients to clarify technical requirements What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a proactive and skilled individual who possesses the following: Proven experience using AutoCAD or other 2D CAD software Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical schematics Knowledge of material types such as S275, S355, CR4, 304, 316, etc. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately A team-player attitude and willingness to support other roles as needed Desirable (but not essential): Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing setting Familiarity with Lantek software Estimating experience within a fabrication or CNC profiling environment Why Join?
