SEND Teacher – Alternative Provision (Permanent)
Location: Wirral
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact? An alternative provision in Wirral is seeking an exceptional educator to join their specialist team on a permanent basis.
This nurturing setting supports 8–10 students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education. We are looking for someone who can inspire, motivate, and guide young people to achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Deliver engaging lessons in English, Maths, and Science, tailored to individual learning needs.
* Adapt teaching strategies to support a diverse range of SEND requirements, driving both academic and social progress.
* Create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each learner’s development.
* Track, monitor, and report on progress in line with EHCP targets.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
* Minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths, and Science.
* Proven experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
Desirable:
* Degree in a relevant subject or SEN specialism.
* SENCO Advanced Certificate or Specialist Teaching Qualification.
* Completion of the Patoss AAA course.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
