Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGV trailers.
* Diagnose faults and rectify defects to keep trailers roadworthy.
* Prepare trailers for MOT inspections to meet compliance standards.
* Maintain a safe and well‑organised workshop van, managing tools and inventory.
* Communicate with the central fleet team to update on daily job status.
Skills, Experience and Education
* Clear and effective communication with the central fleet team.
* Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic or Fitter with strong technical skills and a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification.
* Ability to diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and EBS/ABS braking systems.
* Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards and ensuring all work complies with legislation.
Accountabilities
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
* Exhibit leadership by working independently and managing the workshop van efficiently.

Compensation and Hours
Pay negotiable up to £19.50 per hour. 10 hours per day pay with no breaks taken between 6 am and 4 pm; hours worked before or after are paid time and a half. OTE £65,000 with 10 hours overtime every week, £58,000 for 5 hours a week.
Role is based between three local sites and includes use of a company van.
