Are you passionate about writing and eager to develop your skills? Do you have an interest in social housing and delivering excellent services? If so, you might be our next Trainee Bid Writer!
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone looking to start a career in bid writing to join NCHA. We prepare bids, grant applications, and tenders for housing, care, and support services for vulnerable adults.
As part of the Business Development Team, you'll work on projects across the organization, liaising with internal and external partners. The role offers a diverse and engaging experience, from writing method statements and modeling budgets to supporting specifications for new housing developments. Please note, this is not a sales position.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will participate in a structured 12-month graduate training program, gaining practical experience, professional development, and networking opportunities with peers from other departments and external agencies. Your responsibilities include writing grant applications and bids, acquiring in-depth knowledge of the housing and social care sectors, and preparing for a successful career. Upon completion, there may be opportunities to apply for full-time, permanent positions within NCHA.

What We Need From You
We seek curious, motivated, and enthusiastic learners who pay attention to detail and are eager to build a career. You should demonstrate an interest in social housing and care services, possess excellent literacy, comprehension, IT, and numeracy skills. Previous work or voluntary experience that shows good interpersonal skills, professionalism, and common sense is desirable. Ideally, you will have graduated within the last five years with at least a 2:1 in a relevant subject and/or experience in delivering health, care, or support services to vulnerable adults.
Working Hours and Additional Information
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with at least three days in the Clifton office. Travel to services across the East Midlands may be required; a driving license and vehicle are advantageous.
