Accounts Semi-Senior - Study Support Available Looking to take the next step in your accountancy practice career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing and progressive accountancy practice in Tonbridge. This is an excellent role for someone with around two years' practice experience who is eager to develop technical skills and progress within a supportive and friendly team. Working closely with experienced accountants and managers, the successful Accounts Semi-Senior will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients whilst receiving ongoing support and development opportunities.
About the role
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, responsibilities will include:
* Preparing VAT returns for a diverse client portfolio
* Completing bookkeeping duties using cloud-based accounting software
* Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
* Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Processing and reconciling bank accounts and control accounts
* Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
* Liaising directly with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries
* Supporting senior team members with client accounting projects
* Ensuring client deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
* Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
What we are looking for
* Around 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment
* AAT qualified or currently studying towards a professional qualification
* Experience preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* A positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
* Experience with cloud accounting software would be advantageous
