We’res supporting a 12-month maternity cover within a busy payroll team, with full-time hours and hybrid working. A great opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, with a salary of up to £30,000.
Main Responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing across multiple contracts within deadlines
* Process starters, leavers, and associated payments
* Calculate statutory and occupational leave/pay
* Ensure accurate application of pay agreements and annual increases (incl. back pay)
* Handle payroll queries in a timely, professional manner
* Produce and analyse payroll reports
* Liaise with internal teams to meet deadlines
* Maintain accurate records and compliance with payroll policies
* Support payroll audits and pre-sign-off checks
* Keep up to date with payroll, pension, and HMRC legislation
Experience & Qualifications
* Payroll experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC reporting
* Good Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel
* CIPP qualification (desirable, not essential)
