Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist Team Lead to head up our Enfield pharmacy service during a pivotal time of modernisation and innovation at North London NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a dedicated pharmacy team.
* Influence service development aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan.
* Contribute to trust‑wide strategic initiatives that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
* Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Develop leadership skills within a supportive, collaborative environment.
* Support the Associate Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Operations Lead Pharmacist in leading, developing, delivering, and evaluating pharmacy services and medicines optimisation.
* Maintain and improve standards of clinical pharmacy practice, quality assurance, risk management and clinical governance related to medicines optimisation.
* Play a leading role in delivering the Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
* Hold a Trust‑wide leadership position for Medicines Optimisation in a defined specialist area of practice and maintain a clinical commitment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
* A minimum of 18 months post‑qualification experience as a pharmacist.
* Significant experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner in mental health, with specialised knowledge of psychopharmacology.
* Experience supervising and managing staff.
* Experience training and educating healthcare staff from a variety of professions.
Desirable Qualifications
* Higher Degree/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Diploma in Psychiatry.
* Educational Supervisor or Practice Supervisor Accreditation.
* Non‑medical prescribing qualification.
* Knowledge of CMM ePMA system.
* Evidence of involvement in the management of difficult situations and conflict resolution.
* Involvement in project work.
Essential Skills & Abilities
* Excellent leadership skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate with patients and all grades of healthcare staff.
* Good interpersonal skills, confident and assertive when dealing with other professionals.
* Ability to influence medical staff, the multidisciplinary team and management.
* Ability to work independently/autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to prioritise and respond to urgent requests for advice.
Personal Qualities
* Excellent team player.
* Must have a positive 'can do' attitude.
Certifications & Checks
