Role: Senior Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 60,000
Location: Nottingham
Shifts: Core hours worked at 6-7pm with typical hours per week rotating 6-3pm / 10-7pm
Are you an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer from an FMCG or fast paced manufacturing background? I am recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced food manufacturing site based in Nottingham offering a salary of 60k. This role is hands-on but senior - you'll set standards, mentor engineers and lead projects that reduces downtime, improves efficiency, and supports automation rollouts.

The Role:
* Lead reactive and planned maintenance across production machinery
* Take ownership of and continuously improve the PPM system
* Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical/electrical issues
* Develop junior engineers and apprentices through mentoring and support
* Coordinate daily jobs, allocating tasks based on skill and urgency
* Collaborate with production to minimise downtime and anticipate failures
* Work on systems including conveyors, weighers, chillers, sealers, mixers & packaging lines
Ideal Candidate:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - Ideally apprentice trained
* Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Proven leadership experience - managing or mentoring engineers
* Multi-skilled bias (mechanical/electrical)
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
* Comfortable managing both tools and team planning
* Project involvement experience (e.g. installation of new lines)
