We are recruiting for a well‑established, family‑owned electrical installation company based in Telford, delivering high‑quality electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our close‑knit team.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for producing compliant, practical, and cost‑effective electrical designs from concept through to completion. You'll work closely with our installation teams, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
* Producing drawings, schematics, and specifications
* Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and standards (BS 7671, etc.)
* Carrying out calculations (load, fault levels, cable sizing, lighting, etc.)
* Providing technical support to site teams
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

What we are looking for
* Experience in electrical design (UK‑based projects preferred)
* Good working knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
* Proficiency with design software (e.g. AutoCAD or similar)
* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
