About the role
Are you a skilled and motivated surveyor looking to make a meaningful impact in housing development and capital investment? North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our Housing Maintenance and Development team. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing and delivering high-quality capital investment projects across our housing stock of approximately 8,250 homes
What will you be doing?
As a Project Surveyor, you will:
1. Lead the development, implementation, and review of the HRA Capital Programme.
2. Maintain and update the Council’s stock condition and energy profile databases.
3. Survey proposed works, prepare specifications, and manage tender documentation.
4. Act as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and Clerk of Works for major capital investment and new housing development projects.
5. Provide technical support and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
6. Liaise with tenants, housing officers, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
7. Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and planning applications.
8. Monitor project progress, expenditure, and performance indicators.
About you
9. Proven experience in housing development, capital investment, or building surveying.
10. Strong project management and contract administration skills.
11. Knowledge of CDM Regulations and statutory housing standards.
12. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
13. A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
