The Opportunity
Teaching Personnel is delighted to partner with a progressive and inclusive primary school in Rusholme that is committed to nurturing every child’s academic, social, and emotional development. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the school from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator eager to play an active role in shaping pupils’ learning experiences. Working closely with class teachers, you will support lesson planning and delivery across the curriculum, lead engaging learning activities, and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. You will also contribute to creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of high-quality, engaging lessons
* Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, both in and out of the classroom
* Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment
* Support pupils’ pastoral, social, and emotional development
* Prepare learning resources and contribute to assessing and tracking pupil progress
* Lead and deliver intervention sessions, including for pupils with additional needs
* Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
