Purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading, developing, and growing the New Business Sales team. As part of the leadership team, you will report to the Managing Director and support the implementation of growth plans. Your results-oriented nature will drive the team to success. Working across our Group Companies, you will collaborate with sector specialists to leverage our business model and provide the team with access to warm leads. You will shape the direction of the New Business Sales team and make an impact in the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop, and manage the commercial insurance sales team (new business)
* Contribute to and manage the team’s sales targets
* Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive growth
* Collaborate with the marketing team to build a strong company brand
* Support, train, and mentor team members to foster continuous learning and high performance
* Produce MI reports to monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, lead generation, and deal size
* Identify income generation and growth opportunities
Required Skills and Experience:
* Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
* Proven knowledge of commercial insurance
* Strong relationship, influence, and team-building skills
* Support and mentor others to enhance performance
* Proficient in financial analysis and economic principles related to policies and claims
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* CII Cert or CII Dip qualifications
