Job Summary:
Gategroup is hiring a Procurement Assistant for our UK&I Procurement team based in Ashford, Surrey. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role involves supporting procurement and wider business needs through administrative tasks. Responsibilities include sourcing goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in relevant systems. This role requires participation in an 18-month apprenticeship program, with potential for career progression upon successful completion.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain an up-to-date product list for the menu development team.
2. Review and validate updates to the product list related to new recipes.
3. Attend kick-off meetings and record new product requirements.
4. Validate product sample requests before placing orders.
5. Upload pricing agreements and lists into relevant systems.
6. Support the supplier creation process from request to completion.
7. Generate monthly spend and inflation reports.
8. Assist with administrative tasks during the tender process.
9. Maintain current supplier contact details.
10. Send monthly purchase forecasts to suppliers.
11. Engage with stakeholders to resolve purchasing queries.
12. Upload specifications for new menu items.
13. Handle product confirmation letters as needed.
14. Support system updates and master data validation.
15. Participate and complete the apprenticeship program.
16. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Education:
* Minimum GCSEs or equivalent.
Work Experience:
* Administrative experience preferred.
* Procurement or supply chain experience desirable.
Technical / Language Skills:
* Effective communication in English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

Other Requirements:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undergo a CRC check, and provide five years of references. For time spent outside the UK exceeding six months, a CRC from that country is required.
