We manage 2,700 properties with 6,300 customers across England, including hospitals, GP practices, offices, and a range of property types from listed buildings to new integrated care centres.
The Lease Advisory Team is expanding. Besides managing our significant property portfolio, we are partnering with NHS Commissioners to support lease transactions and events.
The role of the Lease Advisory Manager involves managing a portfolio of head lease and sub-lease activities. You will handle lease events independently or under supervision, ensuring effective and timely management to protect business operations at core leasehold sites.
This is a 12-month FTC with a salary starting from £33,000, including a car allowance.
What you will do
1. Work with senior colleagues to consider all options during lease negotiations to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
2. Collaborate with property management and finance teams to ensure lease events are properly budgeted and managed within financial plans.
3. Support transaction management and seek internal approvals as needed.
4. Provide reports on productivity and KPIs.
5. Ensure data accuracy related to lease events and property information.
6. Apply professional best practices and seek process improvements.
7. Oversee service delivery to internal and external customers at agreed performance levels.
8. Manage budgets in line with forecasts where applicable.
9. Adhere to governance and compliance standards.
10. Maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Who you are
* You possess a broad understanding of landlord and tenant law, lease interpretation, and strategic asset management.
* You can apply valuation principles to leasehold management.
* You have experience in commercial negotiations related to rent reviews, break options, and lease renewals.
* You are experienced in property inspections and measurements following RICS standards.
* You communicate clearly and effectively.
* You can report recommendations and secure approvals within the organization.
* You are passionate about data accuracy, enthusiastic, and determined.
* You have experience driving process improvements and working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Desirable
* MRICS qualification or progress on the APC pathway.
* Experience in the public sector or healthcare settings.
* Success in a professional role.
* Experience with 'Horizon' property database systems.
