Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with other team members to create innovative menu items. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a busy kitchen setting. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help develop new dishes.
