We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planning Manager to join our team within Vistry North Midlands, at our Castle Donington office. As an Assistant Planning Manager, you will work under the guidance of the senior planning manager to handle planning-related matters within the regional business. Your responsibilities include designing and planning residential developments, managing the planning process to meet objectives, gaining planning consents, discharging conditions, and ensuring compliance with planning obligations.

* Experience with residential house builders, planning consultancies, or local authorities
Role responsibilities...
* Assist in preparing layouts and planning applications under the Senior Planning Manager's guidance
* Manage project consultant teams and ensure projects are delivered on time
* Build relationships with team members, consultants, and authorities
* Review design information and reports for project success
* Understand Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) calculations
* Engage with authorities, stakeholders, and the public
* Review local policies and standards
* Manage planning budgets and condition trackers
* Assist in land opportunity appraisals
* Contribute to departmental effectiveness
* Prepare briefs, tender packages, and manage external consultants
* Ensure smooth handovers within the business
* Handle planning amendments and S106 obligations
* Understand housebuilder requirements and standards
* Comply with health and safety policies and procedures
