Make a meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities by delivering compassionate, high‑quality community physiotherapy.In this role, you will provide holistic physiotherapy services across Wiltshire, supporting individuals with multiple and profound learning disabilities, alongside associated emotional, mental health needs, and behaviours that challenge.You will practice with a high level of autonomy while being an integral member of a multidisciplinary, integrated team focused on person‑centred care. Working in close partnership with service users, carers, families, and wider professional networks, you will help shape positive outcomes and coordinated care pathways. The role also includes supervising and supporting junior staff and deputising for the Lead Physiotherapist when required, offering an opportunity to influence both clinical practice and service development.Base LocationThe post is primarily based in Swindon, with flexibility to support a combination of on‑site and hybrid working, depending on service requirements. Some travel across the BSW footprint will be required; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesWork autonomously within an integrated multidisciplinary team, taking professional and legal responsibility for all aspects of clinical practice.Manage a specialist caseload of adults with learning disabilities, many with profound and multiple needs, complex health conditions, mental health difficulties, and behaviours that challenge, using a person‑centred, evidence‑based approach.Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessments using advanced clinical reasoning, taking account of social, emotional, and environmental factors.Develop and deliver individualised, high‑quality physiotherapy and physical management programmes, agreeing goals and outcome measures with service users and/or carers.Produce accessible physiotherapy programmes and resources (e.g. pictorial or photographic materials) to support understanding and engagement for service users and carers.Package DescriptionAs a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be part of our valued team in our Adult Physio Service, receiving access to exclusive rewards and benefits including: £39,959 -
