Web Developer (eCommerce / Salesforce Commerce Cloud) Permanent London (Hybrid 2 days per week) Up to £55,000 per annum We are partnering with a growing consumer-focused business investing heavily in its digital and eCommerce capability. They are looking to hire a Web Developer to support the development, optimisation, and ongoing evolution of their D2C platform. The Role You will play a key role in building and maintaining a high-performing eCommerce website, working within a collaborative product and engineering team. This role combines feature development, platform optimisation, and integration work, with a strong focus on delivering a seamless and commercially effective user experience. What You’ll Be Doing • Building and enhancing website functionality within an enterprise eCommerce platform • Turning product and design requirements into working, scalable features • Improving site performance, accessibility, and overall user experience • Maintaining and refining existing code to ensure reliability and efficiency • Connecting the platform with third-party systems such as payments, CRM, and subscription tools • Diagnosing and resolving issues across the site • Contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and testing processes • Supporting both day-to-day updates and longer-term feature development • Working as part of a collaborative team to continuously improve delivery What They’re Looking For • Experience developing websites within an eCommerce environment • Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Experience with frameworks such as React or Vue • Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or similar platforms • Understanding of how systems connect via APIs and integrations • Attention to detail and a focus on clean, maintainable code • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities • Strong communication and teamwork skills Nice to Have • Exposure to subscription-based platforms or similar business models • Experience working with performance or experimentation tools • Interest in using automation or AI to streamline development tasks Why This Role? • Opportunity to work on a growing digital platform with real impact • Collaborative environment across product, design, and engineering • Chance to contribute to both improvements and new feature delivery • Business investing in modern tools and ways of working Location Hybrid working – typically 2 days per week in a London office, with occasional travel as required.
