Randstad Education is currently recruiting dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants for rewarding supply assignments in various primary schools throughout Bradford. This is your chance to apply your specialist skills in settings where they are needed most.
What the Role Involves:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a cornerstone of support for pupils with additional learning needs. Your day-to-day duties will focus on enabling students to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. Key responsibilities include:
* Partnering with class teachers to adapt learning materials and activities for students.
* Delivering individualised support to pupils with a range of needs, such as ASC, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
* Championing a positive and inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued.
* Utilising effective strategies to support students' emotional regulation and behaviour.
* Assisting with tracking developmental milestones and providing feedback to the school's SENCO.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
* Proven experience in a role supporting individuals with special educational needs.
* A compassionate, patient, and non-judgemental approach.
* The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* A strong desire to help children overcome barriers to learning.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for one.
