Overview
Verity Healthcare Limited is a domiciliary care company operating with trained care workers who attend to the needs of our service users in their own homes. We work with local authorities, the NHS, CCGs, private hospitals, and private clients. We provide a wide range of care services to help our clients maintain their independence in their homes. We are looking for passionate and caring healthcare assistants to join our team of domiciliary carers. Position and Hours
Role: Domiciliary Care Worker
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time (45 hours per week) or Part-Time (25 hours per week). Part-time hours: 20-25 per week. Hourly pay: £14.00–£14.50.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities, from door to door.
* Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene.
* Assist clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
* Assist clients with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment.
* Maintain detailed, accurate records concerning care and medication support given and tasks undertaken.
* Prepare food and drinks for the client, considering likes/dislikes, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements.
* Provide light general household duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by Management.
* Observe health and safety rules and promote the health and safety of self and others; raise concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
* Perform any other duties requested by senior management within the scope of the post.
Skills and Experience
* Skilled in bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
* Experience in administering medication safely, monitoring health conditions, and following care plans.
* Trained in safe use of hoists, mobility aids, and transferring techniques to prevent injury.
* Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families through active listening, empathy, and clear communication.
* Accurate documentation of care provided using care logs or digital systems; maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
