Sheet Metal Worker Salary: £17.50 - £21 + overtime

Or stick to a 37-hour week if that suits you better. You’ll work alongside skilled engineers on high-precision aerospace parts, giving you the chance to sharpen your sheet metal skills even further.
You’ll be shaping, cutting, bending, and forming high-spec components using technical drawings. It’s the kind of work that keeps your skills sharp and your day varied.
Some of the materials you’ll be working with include aluminium and stainless steel, both of which require a good level of precision. You’ll also be stretching and shrinking sheet metal to tight tolerances, which adds another layer of skill to your day.
There’s a mix of solo jobs and ones that need two sets of hands, so you’ll have the chance to work both independently and as part of a team on more complex pieces.
Sheet Metal Worker: What you’ll need
Experience in aerospace, defence, or a similar industry
Good hands-on knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, including rolling, forming, and shaping
Confidence working from technical drawings and using a variety of tools to achieve precise resultsAbout the company
