Consultant in Gastroenterology. We are expanding our gastroenterology team at the Great Western Hospital site and will operate across dual sites (Great Western Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre, CDC).
We use the latest Olympus scopes and stacks for both sites and offer ERCP, EUS, BCSP, Small Bowel Capsule endoscopy, oesophageal dilatation and 1 GA list per month. An initiative to commence oesophageal stenting is planned for future integration into gastroenterology screening lists.
Interest in Nutrition / IBD / Hepatology will be encouraged. The post holder would be encouraged to develop and lead a subspecialty interest. Upper GI and HPB cancer are managed collaboratively with John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford.
Our MDTs are well supported by pathology, radiology and surgeons, working closely with surgical and radiology colleagues.
On joining the department, you will be part of a well-established, friendly team and will help drive improvements in service delivery. You will also be offered a secretary and office space.
As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to training and supervision of junior colleagues. The Trust places high importance on staff wellbeing and offers support to help maintain wellbeing for you and your colleagues.
